Excellent property on the beach for people looking for a peaceful vacation
I stayed at Avenra Beach hotel in Hikkaduwa for 4 days in August 2017 with my friends. Our experience had few glitches otherwise it was a perfect place to stay
The rooms we had booked were ocean view rooms.
The ocean was not visible from all the rooms but once you step out of the room, the ocean was right in front of you.
Rooms: Very well maintained, furnished, spacious, comfortable
Location: Right on the beach, but a little far from the central market of hikkaduwa (but definitely walkable distance)
Service: A little slow but the staff was very polite and friendly
WiFi - was only accessible in some areas, this is one area where the hotel can improve
Food: Breakfast was good not great, but the spread was decent, the food we ordered in room service was also so-so.
Key highlight: Beach & the infinity pool, rooms opening to a garden facing the sea
Ideal for: Families, couples & group of friends
Cost: May be a little higher in peak seasons, we went in off season still it was on the higher side. Nevertheless, worth the price.
I would highly recommend this place to everyone who visits hikkaduwa
